DISASTER PREPAREDNESS AND RESPONSE

Uttar Pradesh Flood Humanitarian Response by Save the children Save the Children’s Humanitarian Response to children and communities affected with flood in Shravasti district of Uttar Pradesh has been successfully implemented and completed by Bhartiya Gramotthan Sewa Vikas Sansthan with the support of Save the Children (Bal Raksha Bharat) in the highly effected Blocks Gilaula, Ekauna and Hariharpur rani in the district Shravasti. From 3 blocks 04 highly floods effected villages had been identified for the Relief item distribution. Main aim of the distribution was to provide humanitarian support to the affected communities by flood to reduce their vulnerabilities. CCDRRSS Program by Save the children BGSVS has implementing a child centered Disaster Risk Reduction and School Safety Project in Shivpur blocks of six Gram Panchayat named ‘’Baundi, Bela Makkan, Baruhi, Chowkshar, Tigra, Gurratipurwa’’ in Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh. In The said project is supported by Save the Children. We are focusing village and school level. We are working 30 villages and 20 schools. Overall Impact: Children, communities and their institutions are better prepared and resourced to respond adequately to everyday risks and any future disasters with child centered approach.

Disaster Preparedness Program by CARE India BGSVS has implementing disaster preparedness program in Mahsi block’s two gram panchayat named Tikuri and Pipra supported by CARE India. Main objective to build capacity in community on natural as well as manmade disaster and day to day risk.
